Welcome to Jackie Smartt Therapeutic Massage and Reflexology Clinic
I have practiced in Therapeutic Massage therapy for over 14 years, and an also a registered practitioner in Clinical Reflexology.
I have my own practice in the historic town of York in a comfortable, relaxed, professional environment situated in a rural setting nestled in the heart of Avon valley.
I am dedicated to providing my clients with the highest quality of care. I believe in the importance continual education to ensure that I'm always up to date with the latest techniques and treatments. My goal is to provide for my clients and help them achieve optimal health and wellness.
With a background in dealing with a variety of people including the elderly and specialised in treating the client as a whole, with a range of modalities tailored to specific complaints.
I believe that massage is not a luxury but an integral part of your health and wellbeing.

Pregnancy Massage

Not recommended in the first trimester if there's a history/indication of unstable pregnancy.

Clinical Reflexology
Is a natural non-invasive therapy that embraces the whole concept of a holistic treatment. It is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, as well as other parts of the body which corresponds to every part ,gland and organ of the body.
Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, messages are sent along the nerve pathways, and this helps to balance the energies within the body.
Reflexology can be deeply relaxing, with the added benefits of gaining relief for those suffering with foot pain such as planta fasciitis, as it encourages the body to heal itself, as well as strengthening the immune system.
Lymphatic Facial Refelxology

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
This very gentle therapy is an effective way to detoxify the body.

Gentle Scar Therapy
This gentle modality has been known to give quick, long-lasting results to help clients out of chronic pain and into pain-free functional movement quickly. Research has demonstrated that abnormal scars can impact function within and beyond their physical borders and present considerations outside of the physical and physiological aspects of the scar tissue.
Hot Stone Therapy
The most relaxing and rewarding experience that you can have in 90 minutes or 1 hour if preferred. Using warmed volcanic rock, the whole body is massaged into a blissful state in many ways the hot stone has simular benefits of the above massages, but the penetrating heat from the stones draws the blood into the area more effectively.
